Vivian is a proofreader at The TD. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. In addition to working at The Times Dispatch, she is the editor of deltaboogie.com, a web site that features Delta musicians.

Vivian and her husband, Larry, have six children and live in Brookland. They are members of the Brookland United Methodist Church.
