Lady Mustangs split

The Pocahontas Lady Redskins defeated Hoxie 35-24 in senior girls basketball action Friday night at Pocahontas.
Pocahontas led 15-9 at halftime and 25-16 at the end of the third quarter.
Emily Davis scored nine points to lead Hoxie.
After the loss, the Lady Mustangs have a 10-7 overall record on the season.
The Hoxie junior high girls routed Pocahontas 57-26.
The Pocahontas senior boys edged Hoxie 51-47 on Thursday at Pocahontas.
The Redskins led 13-11 after one quarter and 23-19 at the half. Hoxie rallied in the third period to take a 35-33 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Pocahontas outscored the Mustangs 18-12 in the final period to earn the victory.
Chance Moore led the Mustangs with 19 points and five rebounds, while Colton Vassar added 14 points. Tracer Keeling finished with nine points and four rebounds, and Gabe Baiza contributed five points and four rebounds.
Pocahontas won the junior boys game 42-21.
The junior Redskins led 16-10 at halftime and pulled away in the second half, outscoring Hoxie 26-11 in the final two periods.
Cade Forrester and Mason Woodard each scored six points for Hoxie. Joe Clayton had five points and seven rebounds. Seth Brooks had two points, while Weston Whited and Haydn Minton each scored one point.
