Harris seeks re-election

Lawrence County Tax Collector Stephanie Harris has formally announced that she will seek re-election in the primary election on May 22.

Harris is currently in her seventh term as tax collector. She started in the office as a deputy collector in September 1998.

"I have enjoyed working with the public for the past 19 years and hope that the public will continue to let me do so," Harris said.

"I have undertaken the duties of my office in an honest and professional manner and wish to continue serving as your tax collector.

"I want to recognize my two deputies, Renee Evans and Meagan Swindle, as they help make the office run smooth and efficient."

Harris resides in Lynn with her husband, Brandon. They have two children, Tyler and Levi.
