Trevor and Miranda Morgan of Lynn have announced the birth of their first child, a son, born on Sept. 7, 2017, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
The baby weighed seven pounds, seven ounces, and has been named Oliver James Morgan.
Grandparents are Billy and Lana Doyle of Denton and Jerry and Cindy Morgan of Lynn.
Great-grandparents are Van and Janice Doyle, Tim and Mary Nunnally and Rita Morgan, all of Lynn.
Tyler and Marisa Williams of Pocahontas have announced the birth of a daughter, born on July 24, 2017, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.
The baby weighed six pounds, 13 ounces, and has been named Oaklyn Reese Williams. She has one sibling, a sister, Quinn.
Grandparents are Bobby and Lisa Williams of Walnut Ridge, Danny and Kim Simpson of Paragould and Randy and Loretta Freeman of Pocahontas.
Odessa Rogers of Walnut Ridge is the great-grandmother.
Johnny and Jannie Distretti of Paragould have announced the engagement of their daughter, Casey Elizabeth Distretti, to Nathan Eric Davis, son of David and Rita Davis of Smithville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Arkansas State University, works for the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Arkansas State University and is a travel agent with Kingdom Concierge.
The prospective groom is also a graduate of Arkansas State University and works for AgHeritage Farm Credit Services in Newport.
The wedding will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 3625 Highway 141 South in Walcott, on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. All friends and family are invited.
Jeff and Kellie Yates of Walnut Ridge have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Holley Allison Yates, to Stetson Jeremiah Wells, son of Anthony and Dana Wells of Ravenden Springs.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jack and Velma Allison of Walnut Ridge and Elwanda Yates of Walnut Ridge and the late R.L. Yates. She is a 2013 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and a 2016 graduate of Williams Baptist College.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Bill and Maudie Wells, who lived in Ravenden Springs, and Jarold Hulett of Imboden and the late Carolyn Hulett. He is a 2011 graduate of Sloan-Hendrix High School and a 2013 graduate Arkansas State University at Beebe.
The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 14, 2017, at 5 p.m. on their farm, located on Henderson Road in Imboden.
All family and friends are invited to the ceremony and reception to follow at The Studio on Main Street in Walnut Ridge.
Erma Clair Walker, 92, of Strawberry, died Sept. 15, 2017, at Cave City Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 7, 1924, in Smithville, she was the daughter of Carson and Lura Stalnaker White. Erma was a retired postmaster and loved to quilt and do volunteer work. She taught Sunday school, was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ. She was also a longtime Strawberry correspondent for The Times Dispatch. She touched the lives of all that knew her and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Walker, whom she married in 1943; a son, Darrell Talmadge Walker; two sisters, Francine Thomas and Virginia Tyler; two brothers, Barney White and Boyce White; a grandson, Chad Oliver; and a granddaughter, Camillia Oliver.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelia Oliver and husband Jerry, and Barbara McSpadden and husband Mickey; a son, Danny Walker and wife Helen; a brother, Cecil White, Cave City; 11 grandchildren, Reggie Oliver, Malcolm Oliver, Shanna Smith, Becky Oliver Foreman, Kim Webb, Devin McSpadden, Glen McSpadden, Tera Morgan, Josh Walker, Angela Martin and Anthony Cossey; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Strawberry Church of Christ with Dr. Gary Buxton and Don House officiating. Burial was in Penn Cemetery at Strawberry under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Josh Walker, Malcolm Oliver, Devin McSpadden, Glen McSpadden, Danny Morgan, Josh Smith, Harry Webb and Anthony Cossey. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons: Walker, Houston, Drew and Luke Morgan; Payton and Aiden Oliver; Talmadge Smith; Chris Emmons; Max Webb; Nathan, Josiah, Caleb, Jeremiah and Jacob McSpadden.
Memorials may be made to the Penn Cemetery Fund, Strawberry, AR 72469 or the Children’s Home in Paragould.

Nancy Wheeless, 59, of Powhatan, died Sept. 17, 2017, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.
Born June 17, 1958, in Walnut Ridge, she was an assembler at Monroe and a member of the Portia Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Ellison.
Survivors include a son, Jason Gaines and wife Whitney, Paragould; her parents, Charles and Onida Ellison, Powhatan; a sister, Linda Kurc, Hoxie; and a granddaughter, Taylor Gaines.
Funeral is Friday at 11 a.m. at the Portia Church of Christ with Robert Davis and Seth Parnell officiating. Burial will be in Old Lebanon Cemetery at Lynn under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne, Shawn, Mart, Danny, John, Trevor, Walker Morgan and Eric Pratt.
Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home.
