New LawCo. Jail to be
completed in January

With the exterior of the building almost complete, the new site for the Lawrence County Jail is set to be finished in January.

Smith-Doyle Contractors, Inc. of Cordova, Tenn., a part of SouthBuild Team of Tennessee, is the project contractor. SouthBuild focuses on building rural detention facilities.

The facility is approximately 20,000 square feet. It includes individual cells, dormitories, the sheriff's office and an arraignment room. The facility will hold approximately 110 inmates.
