Hoggard enjoying time as WR airport manager
Stacy Hoggard of Walnut Ridge never had aspirations to work at an airport; however since she started her job at Walnut Ridge Regional Airport last week, she has been overwhelmed with new information and enjoying every step of the way.
Hoggard said it was actually her sister, Pam Horton, who convinced her to apply for the job. Before then, being an airport manager wasn't even on Hoggard's radar.
However, in many ways it seemed like a perfect fit for the Hoxie native. While living in Pocahontas and other areas for much of her life, she moved back to Walnut Ridge seven years ago and is excited to be the face of Walnut Ridge for those traveling in by plane.

for great cancer awareness
Often, people see cancer as a tragedy but never think it will happen to them. Walnut Ridge Middle School teacher Deana Householder had no idea what was coming her way when she went the day after school was over to get her mammogram appointment out of the way before the start of summer.
