Air field's 75th year marked well
Saturday was a wonderful day in Walnut Ridge as we celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Walnut Ridge WWII Army Air Field.
As recovery continues from devastating flooding, thousands flocked to the Walnut Ridge Airport to honor veterans and watch a free air show presented by the Wings of Honor Museum.
The week leading up to the event was a roller coaster as we watched and anticipated how the flooding would impact our communities, as well as whether or not we would be able to continue with this celebration that we had been planning since last year's Walnut Ridge Air Field Reunion and Wings of Honor Festival.
