Coty and Ashlyn Griffin of Trumann have announced the birth of their first child, a son, who was born April 23, 2017, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.
The baby weighed eight pounds, five ounces, and has been named Keith Greyson Griffin.
Grandparents are Danny and Diane Griffin of Trumann, the late Kimberly Blazer and the late Keith Wayland.
He is the great-grandson of Douglas and Shelby Wayland of Walnut Ridge and Willie Blazer of Black Rock and the late Sandy Blazer.
Great-great-grandmother is Doris Darris of Black Rock.
Billy Joe Rogers, 82 of Walnut Ridge, passed away April 26, 2017, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 28, 1935, in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of the late Harvey Edward and Viola Mae Hart Rogers. He was united in marriage to Odessa Sims in 1959. He served proudly in the U.S. National Guard. He was a barber at the Whiteway Barber Shop in Walnut Ridge for many years, an avid fisherman and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Odessa of the home; one son, William Kevin (Pamela) Rogers of Walnut Ridge; one daughter, Kimberly Lynne (Danny) Simpson of Walcott; four grandchildren, Harrison Tyler (Marisa) Williams, Seth Michael Williams, William Colton Rogers and Abby Kate Rogers; two great-grandchildren, John Henry Williams and Quinn Williams; one sister, Betty Mae Rogers (Jim) Hudson of Conway; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were Friday, April 28, at noon at Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Johnny Shields officiating. Bryan Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Tyler Williams, Seth Williams, Colton Rogers, Larry Futrell, Jim Hudson and Greg Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Leon Hibbard and Johnny Shields.

Joyce A. Simmons, 81, of Imboden, died May 2, 2017, at her home.
Born Feb. 13, 1936, at Clover Bend, she was the daughter of Everette and Pearl Oldham Neece. She was the owner/operator of Joy’s Drive-In in Imboden for 36 years and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion Zanuel Ragsdell; a son, Randell Lee Ragsdell; a sister, Delois Leonberger; and a grandson, Aidan Zanuel Ragsdell.
Survivors include her husband, Eldon Simmons, whom she married June 20, 2006, in Annieville; a daughter, Marion Rene Downing and husband Bobby, Annieville; two sons, Gregory Allen Ragsdell, Imboden, and Joseph Ragsdell and wife Tammy, Pocahontas; two stepsons, Gary Simmons, Minturn, and Mike Simmons and wife Janet, Jonesboro; two brothers, Eldridge Neece, Pocahontas, and Eugene Neece, Rockford, Ill.; a sister, Wilda Johnson, Marmaduke; six grandchildren, Charity, Tiffany, Danell, Alex, Adam and Aaron; two step-grandchildren, Kevin and Sarah; five great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
