Hoxie High School's Colton Robins signed his letter of intent to play football at Lyon College in Batesville during a ceremony on Monday afternoon at Hoxie's Mustang Gymnasium. Robins signs with Lyon College

Colton Robins, a senior at Hoxie High School, signed his letter of intent to play football at Lyon College in Batesville during a ceremony on Monday.

Family, teammates and coaches gathered in the lobby of Mustang Gymnasium as he inked his commitment.

"It's awesome," Robins said of getting to continue his football career at the collegiate level.

Robins plans to play linebacker at Lyon. He said his focus is on competing with other people at his position and doing what he can to help his new team.

WR - Pocahontas boys

The Pocahontas Redskins visited Sharum Gymasium and came away with a 56-25 victory over the Walnut Ridge Bobcats on Feb. 1.

Pocahontas led 12-6 at the end of the first quarter and increased the margin to 27-10 at the intermission. The Redskins continued to pull away after halftime with a 38-16 advantage after three quarters.
