Hollyn Shae Cunningham

Shane and Paige Cunningham of Walnut Ridge have announced the birth of a daughter, born Dec. 19, 2016, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed six pounds, three ounces, and was named Hollyn Shae Cunningham. Siblings are Kai and Tyler, 15 years old, and Henley and Hayden, seven years old.

Grandparents are John and Terry Howard and Gary and Carolyn Cunningham, all of Walnut Ridge.

Jeannie Ellen Catron

Jeannie Ellen Midgett Catron, 53, of Hardy, died Dec. 7, 2016, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born Feb. 21, 1963, in Little Rock, she was a homemaker and lived in Arkansas most of her life.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Denise Catron; her father, Delmer Gene Midgett; a brother, Bobby Gene Midgett; and her grandparents.

Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Stickel and husband Joshua, Pocahontas; a son, Brett Catron and wife Holly, Calico Rock; her mother, Barbara Midgett; a brother, Edward "Ed" Midgett and wife Kathy; and eight grandchildren.

Ermaline Eans

Ermaline Wright Eans, 86, of Wynne, died Jan. 8, 2017.

Born Aug. 19, 1930, in Strawberry, she was the daughter of William Harvey and Maude Little Wright. She received a BSE from Arkansas Tech University in 1951 and an MSE from Arkansas State University. She spent most of her 33-year teaching career in Wynne, retiring in 1989. She also taught in Harrisburg, Gosnell and Marianna. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association, AARP, NARFE and Wynne Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Eans; a sister, Nadine Milligan; and a brother, Jennings Wright.

Survivors include a son, James Harvey Eans and wife Donna; a sister, Imogene Sexton, Cave City; and two grandchildren, Hannah Eans and Katie Eans Hutton.

Funeral was Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne. Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery at Des Arc.

Joe B. Graham Sr.

Joe B. "Buster" Graham Sr., 84, of Jonesboro, died Jan. 3, 2017.

Born June 15, 1932, in the Hopewell community, he was the son of Joseph and Beulah Whitmire Graham. He was a mechanic and was retired from Blackwell-Baldwin. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Graham; and a brother, Harold Dean Graham.

Survivors include two sons, Joe B. Graham Jr. and wife Rose and Mark Graham and wife Sondra, all of Jonesboro; a brother, Daniel R. Graham, Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Louise "Shorty" Kick, Monmouth, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Amanda Graham, Mark Brandon Graham and Auston T. Graham.

Graveside service was Friday at 1 p.m. at Clover Bend Cemetery with Jimmy Young officiating. Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Eugene Merrill, Joe B. Graham Jr., Mark Graham, Auston Graham, Mike Graham and Mike Pennington. Honorary pallbearers were Brandon Graham, Otis Pennington and Daniel Graham.

Onzell Leona Harris

Onzell Leona Harris, 76, died Jan. 4, 2017, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 5, 1940, in Oneonta, Ala., she was the daughter of Rev. Levander and Leona Carnell Walker. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lawrence Edward Harris; four brother and two sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Laurie Midgett, Portia, Julee McClurkan and husband Jim, Augusta, Ga., and Jane Prine, Fairview, Tenn.; a sister, Ovelle Hudson, Hayden, Ala.; seven grandchildren, James Maupin, Jesse Maupin, Kevin McClurkan, Ryne McClurkan, Jennifer McClurkan, Thomas Prine and Daniel Prine; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Friday at 11 a.m. at Clover Bend Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Terry Hudson

Terry Wayne Hudson, 67, of Hoxie, passed away Jan. 4, 2017, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born Aug. 27, 1949, in Walnut Ridge, he had recently retired from Skil in Walnut Ridge and was of the Baptist belief. He enjoyed going to casinos, walking in the park and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Pauline Lamb Hudson; and a brother, Ronald Hudson.

Survivors include a daughter, Aubri Hudson-Holloway and wife Jennifer; Aubri's mother, Terri Mitchell, Jonesboro; a sister, Beverly Papineau and husband Anthony; a granddaughter, Taylor Pierce and husband Aaron; two great-granddaughters, Kora and Parker Pierce; a niece, Alyssa Papineau; and a host of other family and friends.

Virginia Martin

Virginia Martin, 94, of Salem, died Jan. 4, 2017.

Born Nov. 13, 1922, in Black Rock, she was the daughter of Frank and Rose Harris Guilliams. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Waller and Forrest Martin; two sisters, Velma Tribble and Verna Milgrim; a brother, George Guilliams; a niece, Rhonda Watts; and a nephew, Bobby Abraham.

Survivors include a great-niece, Martha Holder and husband Stanley, Mammoth Spring; a great-nephew, Dale Berry and wife Sandy, Tuscumbia, Mo.; two great-great-nephews, Kelly Berry, Cherokee Village, and Brandon Holder, Mammoth Spring; two great-great-nieces, Karen Dunlap, Hardy, and Emily Berry, Tuscumbia, Mo.; and two great-great-great-nephews.

Pat McKinney

Wilma "Pat" McKinney, 84, of Walnut Ridge, died Jan. 7, 2017, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born at Clover Bend, she was the daughter of Robert and Roxie Turley Kincade. She was a graduate of Delaplaine High School and lived most of her life near Walnut Ridge. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Avon Ladner and Don Erskine; a brother, Frank Kincade; and two sisters, Jean Seagraves and Mickey Rice.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle McKinney; six children and stepchildren, Rick Ladner, Mobile, Ala., David McKinney and wife Carla, Jonesboro, Karen McKinney Underwood and husband Ed, Branson, Mo., Jo Ann Erskine Gallager, Pendleton, Ind., Debbie Erskine Burton, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Donna Erskine Villalobos, Winthrop Harbor, Ill.; a sister, Loraine "Snooks" Parker, Lenexa, Kan.; five grandchildren, Amy Murphy, Melody Rainwater, Heather Stanley, Paul McKinney and Kevin Underwood; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral is Thursday at 11 a.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home with Rob Combs officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be James McKinney, Paul McKinney, Kevin Underwood, Rob Rainwater, John Murphy and Jonathan Stanley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Hilburn, Leroy Johnson, Terry Smith and Eddie Gillean.

Ray Earl Parsons

Ray Earl Parsons, 82, of Portia, died Jan. 2, 2017, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born Feb. 14, 1934, in Pocahontas, he was the son of Sidney Earl and Addie Edna Warner Parsons. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a carpet contractor and installer. He also worked for Barton's Lumber Co. and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his significant other, Marsha Clayton, Monticello; a brother, John Parsons and wife Barbara, Cave City; a sister, Beatrice Manning, Rock Falls, Ill.; Marsha's mother, Elwanda Clayton, Paragould; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Chelcey, Sidney Jr. and Chester Parsons; four sisters, Alice Gillaspie, Mabel Lamb, Mary Matthews and Patsy Carley; Marsha's father, Kenneth Clayton; and her brother, Tim Clayton.

Funeral was Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bryan Funeral Home with William Richmond officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Family and friends served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Luther Jones and John Parsons.

Jo Anne Phillips, 54, of Jonesboro, died Dec. 21, 2016, in an automobile accident near Sedgwick.

Born Jan. 4, 1962, in Texas, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Jerry Remore Peoples. She was a housekeeper.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Phillips; a son, Wesley Gwin, Oak Grove, La.; a daughter, Lindsey Hawkins, Oak Grove, La.; a stepdaughter, Amy Jackson, Bella Vista; her mother, Jerry Garsee, Oak Grove, La.; a brother, Sam Peoples, Phoenix; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Rev. Larry Bailey officiating. Bryan Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Bonnie Sue Smith Richey, 79, of Powhatan, died Jan. 7, 2017, at her home.

Born Jan. 21, 1937, in Powhatan, she was the daughter of Evan and Laura Smith. She was a member of the Full Life Gospel Temple in Powhatan.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Cleades Smith Sr., Tommy Smith, Frank Smith and Dempsey Smith; and a sister, Joan Drury.

Survivors include her husband, Lowell Richey, whom she married Nov. 24, 1956, in Powhatan; three daughters, Sandra McCormic and husband Wendell and Shelley Doyle and husband Steve, all of Portia, and Stacey Harmon and husband David, Horseshoe Bend; a brother, Jerry Smith and wife Jean, Piedmont, S.C.; four sisters, Mary Maxwell and husband Bill, Black Rock, and Jeraldine Davis, Lois Colbert and Pat Smith, all of Imboden; four grandchildren, Justin McCormic, Jeremy McCormic, Preston Harmon and Rachel Harmon; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Powhatan Cemetery with Rev. Harold Russell officiating. Cox Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Candy LeAnn Bagwell Story Roderick, 36, died Jan. 7, 2017, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 8, 1980, she was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Bagwell.

Essie Marie Sellers

Essie Marie Eaton Sellers, 99, of Imboden, died Jan. 4, 2017, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 31, 1917, in Randolph County, she was the daughter of B.H. "Harry" and Lura Thena Wells Eaton. She was a teacher for 35 years. She began teaching in a one-room schoolhouse when she was 20 years old. She taught at Wyatt, Ravenden and Williford before ending her career at Sloan-Hendrix in Imboden in 1980. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Republican party and was a Sunday school teacher at the Ravenden Church of Christ for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Sellers, whom she married Aug. 16, 1937; a son, Ray Sellers; four sisters, Bama Nabors, Maydean Blankenhorn, Wilma English and Georgia Stephens; an infant brother; and a granddaughter, Eva Marie Sellers.

Survivors include a daughter, Thena Sellers, Imboden; a sister, Bennie Campbell, Lakeland, Tenn.; a grandson, Barry Sellers; a great-granddaughter; and a great-great-grandson.

Funeral was Friday at 2 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Imboden.

Bobby Charles Simpson

Bobby Charles Simpson, 66, of Black Rock, died Jan. 7, 2017, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born Sept. 19, 1950, in Jonesboro, he was a cattle rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Laverne Simpson; and two brothers, Julius Simpson II and Micheal Simpson.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Terry Goodson Simpson, whom he married Aug. 14, 1970; three sons, Darrel Simpson and wife Debbie, Black Rock, Dexter Simpson and wife Cara, Walnut Ridge, and Trever Simpson, Painesville, Ohio; a daughter, Tina Waldrupe and husband Rob, Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Phyllis Cox, Paragould, and Tammy Earnhart, Jonesboro; three brothers, Steve Simpson and Dennis Simpson, both of Bono, and Benny Simpson, Fontaine; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Christopher Michael Tribble

Christopher Michael Tribble, 42, died Jan. 6, 2017, in Newport.

Born March 7, 1974, in Newport, he graduated from Walnut Ridge High School and attended Arkansas State University. He was a trucking route manager.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Survivors include his father, Roger Tribble and wife Brenda; his mother, Wanda Slusser and husband Chuck; a sister, Sheila Norman and husband Mark; three nieces, Kirsten Norman, Jillian Norman and Darah Bolliera; and special friends, Clay Tribble, Jill Dame Whitley, Kevin Viczko and Jim Teague.

A celebration of his life will be held today at 7 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Randall J. Wilson, 48, of Cave City, died Jan. 5, 2017.

Born June 3, 1968, in St. Louis, he was a truck driver and owner of R & J Auto and Diesel Service. He was a member of Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Nelsonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Sheilda Asberry Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Wilson; two sons, Dustin Wilson, Strawberry, and Seth Wilson, Cave City; two daughters, Shadra Conley, Hoxie, and Nicole Wilson, Cave City; a brother, Keith Wilson, Spiro, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Aubree Conley, Skyla Sloan, Camden Conley and Hayden Wilson.

Funeral was Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City with Bros. Keith Wilson and Kevin Cooper officiating. Burial was in Spotts Cemetery at Poughkeepsie under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were David Stotlar, Wayne Hoggard, Jim Hoggard, Larry Asberry, Greg Asberry and W.E. Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Jim LeMaster, Denver Wilson, Bob Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Bob McCollum, Larry Farmer and Gary Farmer.
