Remembering the
fallen in Arkansas

Be sure to take time this week to visit Stewart Park in Walnut Ridge and experience the Arkansas Run for the Fallen Traveling Memorial. The square grid of 142 United States flags, waving in the sun or spotlighted by night, is a wonder in itself. However, it is when walking through the display that one gets the real impact.

Young men and women, some as young as 19, are photographed in the prime of life. A small placard shares their hometowns and explains how they died. The display is being sponsored by Fran Cavenaugh of Walnut Ridge and will be here through Sunday.
