Final preparations are being made for this weekend's Beatles at the Ridge festival, set for Friday and Saturday in downtown Walnut Ridge.
Event organizer and Walnut Ridge Mayor Charles Snapp said the festival is a rain or shine event.
"We are hoping if it rains it will be intermittent and we will get to enjoy all the bands," he said.
Weather may cause some adjustments, but Snapp said the event will be held to the fullest extent possible.
The Liverpool Legends are once again headlining the event and are set to take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Other entertainment includes: The Brandon Cunning Band, Jeffrey and the Pacemakers, Arkansas Brothers and Lauren Richmond on Saturday and Deadwood Groove and Sonny Burgess and The Legendary Pacers on Friday evening.
This year's symposium, which will be held at The Studio, will feature several exhibits, presentations by world-renowned authors, book signings and a showing of the film "Good Ol' Freda."
On Saturday, attendees at the presentations throughout the day will be eligible to win one of six tablets donated by Fran Cavenaugh.
A winner will be drawn at the end of each presentation. To be eligible, individuals must pick up a free ticket prior to each presentation in The Studio and must be present for the drawing at the end of the presentation.
Artists and author booths will remain in The Studio on Saturday if the weather prevents them from moving outdoors as planned.
A full schedule of music, activities, contests and the Artists and Authors Symposium that is held in conjunction with the festival can be found here.
