You don't have to be a football fan or even a Razorback supporter to be inspired by the film "Greater," which was released Aug. 26. The movie tells the true story of Brandon Burlsworth and his unlikely path from a chubby, junk food-eating kid, to becoming known as perhaps the greatest walk-on player in college football history.
It is no spoiler alert that Brandon was tragically killed in a vehicle accident in 1999. The movie alludes to that from the beginning, and many Arkansans remember the event or have heard about it since.

The Lauratown School was located between Portia and Clover Bend. Students and teachers, Mrs. Sullivan and Mr. Gilbert, posed for this 1921 photo. The school occupied the first floor and a fraternal lodge used the second floor. The school consolidated with Clover Bend in the late 1940s.
