Nick and Christin Brown of Walnut Ridge have announced the birth of a son on May 4, 2016, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.
The baby weighed six pounds, 15 ounces, and has been named Oakley Owen Brown.
He has an older sister, Zoey Brown.
Grandparents are Billy and Kim Brown of Hoxie and Eric and Lori Highfield of Smithville.
He is the great-grandson of Bill and Betty Brown of Sedgwick, Frances Forrester of Cherokee Village, Mary Sharp of Smithville and Earl and Doris Highfield of Powhatan.
Great-great-grandmother is Georgia Huskey of Walnut Ridge.
Together with their families, Jessica Whitmire, daughter of Scott and Nancy Whitmire of Strawberry, and Colman Evans, son of Randy and Michelle Evans of Lynn, announce their upcoming marriage on May 21, 2016.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Melvin and Mary Denison of Lynn and Ruth Whitmire and the late Mike Whitmire of Strawberry.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Pat Evans of Lynn, Larry Evans of Lynn, Kathy Rainwater of Lynn and Dennis Bagwell of Pocahontas. He is the great-grandson of Barbara Mize and the late Calvin Mize of Lynn.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. at the Lynn Church of Christ with the reception to follow in the church’s Fellowship Building. All friends and family are invited to attend.
Ruth Gibbens, 77, of Ravenden, died May 4, 2016.
Born Feb. 28, 1939, at Fontaine, she was the daughter of Pursa and Estelle Cromwell Moore. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Bagwell; three brothers, John Moore, Lon Moore and P.E. Moore; and a great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Tubbs.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Gibbens; four sons, Garry Bagwell and wife Karen, Ash Flat, Tommy Bagwell and wife Kathy, Ravenden, Terry Bagwell and wife Cindy, Ozark Acres, and Tim Bagwell and wife Rhonda, Highland; a daughter, Teresa Nunally and husband Nelson, Imboden; six brothers, Carl Moore, Kenny Moore and Lennard Moore, all of Bono, Jerry Moore, Pocahontas, Leamon Moore, Illinois, and Bud Moore, Michigan; a sister, Inez Lenderman, Light; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Bryant officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Nunally, Kenny Tubbs, Cody Bagwell, Clay Bagwell, Thomas Bagwell and Matthew Bagwell.

Gracie King McCrackin, 82, of Strawberry, died May 6, 2016, in Lafayette, La.
Born April 10, 1934, at Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Russell and Esther West King. She was retired from Banquet Foods in Batesville, and was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith McCrackin; four brothers, Claude King, Earl King, Raymond King and Coy King; and two sisters, Lora Gay and Ruby Goff.
Survivors include two sons, Neil McCrackin, Port Varre, La., and Dennie McCrackin, Harrison; a daughter, Malinda Head, Batesville; eight grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City with Bro. Ross Sturch officiating. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery at Cave City.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Thomas David Stayton, 74, of Kansas City, Mo., died May 8, 2016.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Stayton; a daughter, Annette Gercken; a son, John Stayton; a brother, Larry Stayton; a sister, Patsy Stewart; and three granddaughters, Callie, Lindsey and Hannah.
Services will be private. Charter Funerals has charge of arrangements.
