For Jennifer Archer of Walnut Ridge, Make-A-Wish has become a part of who she is.
Last week, she was recognized by Make-A-Wish staff members for her work with the organization.
Mallory Lindsey and Amy Westlake paid a surprise visit to Archer on April 12 at her hair salon to present her with the 2015 Heartfelt Achievement Award.
"This award goes to a volunteer in Northeast Arkansas who is a strong advocate for our mission and goes above and beyond by showing significant contributions to their volunteer service, time and talents," Lindsey said.
Archer, who was nominated by Christie Matthews and Danna Johnson, is a wish granter and event and fundraising volunteer for Make-A-Wish.
"She is consistently working on wishes all across the Northeast Arkansas territory and has the biggest heart for Make-A-Wish," Lindsey said. "We as staff were very honored to surprise her with this award!"
Archer said the award means a lot to her.
"It is such a blessing to be honored for doing something that I enjoy so much," she said. "Make-A-Wish has my heart!"
