Pictures of the Past

Several men, a young boy and a dog pose in front of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern depot in Alicia. Passenger trains stopped here four times a day in 1908 when this picture was taken. The water tower was used to fill steam locomotives, which needed a resupply every 100 miles.
