Accidents claim lives

An Alicia man was killed in a two-vehicle accident at 5:44 a.m. on Feb. 3, and a juvenile from Imboden died from injuries he sustained in a December accident, according to fatal crash summaries released by the Arkansas State Police.

Brian Pieri, 51, of Alicia, was traveling northbound on Highway 67, approximately a quarter mile south of the Hoxie city limits, in a 1998 Chevrolet pickup, when he crossed the centerline.

The pickup hit a southbound 2016 Freightliner, driven by Armel Behrem, 37, of St. Louis, according to Cpl. Jimmy Danley with the ASP.

The ASP also released a report regarding a Dec. 26 accident on Highway 115, between Imboden and Annieville. Colby Hostler, 17, of Imboden was injured in that accident, and died from those injuries on Jan. 26.
