Holder seeks election as assessor
Becky Holder has announced she will run for Lawrence County assessor.
Holder, 55, has over 30 years of experience with the Lawrence County assessor's office and currently serves as chief deputy of the assessor's office.
She handles all business personal assessments and has worked in all aspects of the office during her years.
Holder is a Democrat and member of the Arkansas Assessor's Association, and Arkansas Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers. Holder is a level two appraiser.
She is a Delaplaine High School graduate. Her parents are Dallas and Sue Roberts of O'Kean.
Holder lives in Walnut Ridge and has been married to Scott Holder for 35 years. They have one daughter, Emily, married to Jeremy Anglin, and also a three-month-old granddaughter, Blaire. They also live in Walnut Ridge. Holder is a member of United Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
"I hope the voters will give me an opportunity to use my years of experience to keep the office moving forward and to better serve the people of Lawrence County.
"If elected, I will continue with the policy of our assessor's office that has been established. My employees and I will have dedication to public service, education and personal contact with the taxpayer."
