James Gary Aldridge

James Gary Aldridge, 66, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Sept. 5, 2015, in Poplar Bluff.

Born Feb. 8, 1949, in Harviell, Mo., he was a member of the Twin Oaks Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cordelia Ann Green, on Oct. 25, 2010, whom he married March 14, 1994, in Doniphan, Mo.; his father, James Calvin Aldridge; and a son-in-law, Christopher Gunter.

Survivors include his children, Gary Aldridge and wife Tammy, Flippin, Tonya Gunter, St. Clairsville, Ohio, James Aldridge and wife Angela, and Tommy Green and wife Pam, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Kimberly Aldridge, Sikeston, Mo.; his mother, LaVern Aldridge; a sister, Linda Cates, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 9, at noon at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville with Donnie Fowler officiating. Burial was in Three Springs Cemetery.

William James Ballard

William James "Jim" Ballard, 79, of Paragould, passed away Sept. 17, 2015, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 1, 1935, in Tuckerman, he was the son of Larkin and Ruth Ballard. He was a retired public school administrator with the Greene County Tech School District in Paragould. He was a member and music director of Light Baptist Church. The joys of his life were his family and his music. Also, he was known as an avid jogger.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ivy Ballard; a daughter, Cindi Ballard, Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Patrick Ballard and wife Mandy, Paragould; his mother, Ruth Ballard, Walnut Ridge; a brother, Jack Ballard, Kansas City, Kan.; a granddaughter, Sammi Jo Ballard, Paragould; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was Sunday at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Raymond Atwood and Tommy Stacy officiating. Phillips Funeral Home of Paragould had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Charlton Cupp, Scott Wharton, Joe Pratt, Jesse Hancock, Kevin Tedder and Tommy Justus. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Booher and Chester Key.

Rudolph Clements

Rudolph "Rudy" Clements, 81, of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 17, 2015, at his son's residence.

Born Feb. 15, 1934, in Ravenden, he was the son of Emmitt and Florence Loane Clements. He served in the U.S. Army and was a mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Smith Clements, on Oct. 21, 2010; a sister, Wanda Smith; two brothers, Ezell Clements and Jerry Clements; and a great-grandson, Kipton Clements.

Survivors include a son, Randy Clements and wife Ronda, Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Cindy Land and husband Dennis, Pocahontas; five sisters, Elsie Hausman, Pocahontas, Shirley Nettles, Alicia, Cordia Wildrick, Annieville, Sadie Flynt, Imboden, and Letha Collins, Arlington, Mo.; three brothers, Jim Clements, Walnut Ridge, Lynn Clements, Arlington, Tenn., and Connie Clements, Annieville; three grandsons, Jeff Clements, Justin Clements and Jordan Clements; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Sunday at 3 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home. Burial was in Lone Oak Cemetery near Smithville.

Charles Edward Conyers

Charles Edward Conyers, 72, of Olive Branch, Miss., died Sept. 18, 2015, at a Memphis hospital.

Born Nov. 2, 1942, in Hartford, Conn., he was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Watson Conyers; and his parents, Newman and Ruby Hyde Conyers.

Survivors include a son, Jeremy Conyers, Olive Branch, Miss.; and two brothers, Jason Conyers, St. Amant, La., and Glenn Conyers, Orlando, Fla.

Graveside service was Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ward Cemetery near Strawberry. Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City had charge of arrangements.

Colton Richard Hart

Colton Richard Hart, 17, died Sept. 19, 2015.

Born July 11, 1998, in Jonesboro, he was a senior at Jonesboro High School and was of the Protestant belief.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Mary Ellen Hart; a great-grandfather, James Wright; a step great-grandmother, Mary Boozer; and great-grandparents, Robert and Janet Taylor.

Survivors include his father, Ronnie Hart and wife Teresa, Walnut Ridge; his mother, Janelle Ovunda and husband Great, Jonesboro; a brother, Landon Cates, Jonesboro; a sister, Avah Ovunda, Jonesboro; three stepsisters, Sara Carter and Samantha, both of Walnut Ridge, and Jordan Cates, Pocahontas; grandparents, Gilbert Hart, Hoxie, Richard and Lola Taylor, Paragould, and Doug and Janice Morrow, Hermitage, Tenn.; a stepgrandmother, Ruby James, Walnut Ridge; and a great-grandmother, Doris Wright, Sedona, Ariz.

Funeral is today at 11 a.m. at Bryan Funeral Home with Bros. Rick Hart and Jonathan Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Holt, Bryan Butts, Tim Hudson, Jeffery Hart, Jonathan Cochran, Ty Latiolais, Doug Marrow, David Watson and Billy Carter.

Patricia Sue Jones

Patricia Sue Jones, 70, of Delaplaine, died Sept. 17, 2015, at her home.

Born April 14, 1945, at Giles Spur, she was a former inspector for Cinch and was of the Church of Christ belief.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orvel and Agnes Collins Jones; and a brother, Rex Jones.

Survivors include two sisters, Regina White, Delaplaine, and Brenda Cullum, Giles Spur; and four brothers, Johnny Jones, Larry Jones and Billy Jones, all of Smithville, and Harry Jones, Giles Spur.

Funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home. Burial was in Jones Ridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Jones, Jay Jones, L.A. Jones, Billy Jones, Joey White and Charlie Cullum. Honorary pallbearers were Lamar Jones, Cheyenne Jones, Clifton Jones, Rex Jones, Freddie Cullum, Harvey Cullum and Jonathan Cullum.

Pansy Medlock

Pansy Elizabeth Medlock, 104, of Walnut Ridge, formerly of Portia, died Sept. 17, 2015, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.

Born March 22, 1911, in Black Rock, she was the daughter of Robert Franklin and Mary Edna Holderman Pickney. She was a homemaker and a member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Portia Church of Christ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Ireland Medlock, on Oct. 31, 1966, whom she married Aug. 31, 1929; and seven siblings, Louie, Ralph, Lillie Marie, Bob, Fern and Millard.

Survivors include a daughter, Berniece Baker, Portia; two sisters, Patsy Ehrnhardt Edwards, Hoxie, and Judy Brannon, Louisiana; a brother, Joe Pickney, Ohio; a grandson Vernon Dale Baker Jr., Grove, Okla.; and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral was Monday at 10 a.m. at the Portia Church of Christ with Robert Davis and Gerald Fears officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Darrell Osborn, Terry McNelly, James Roy Pickney, James Freeman, Darrell Pickney and Gilbert Pickney.

Sherman Dawson Stone

Sherman Dawson Stone, 75, of Pocahontas, died Sept. 16, 2015.

Born July 10, 1940, in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of the late C.B. and Linnie Jones Stone.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Stone and P.K. Stone.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle Stone; a daughter, Kimberly Watkins and husband David; a son, Victor Stone and wife Rhonda; two brothers, James Stone and wife Martha, and Lee Stone and wife Patty; four grandchildren, Lauren Grissom, Breana Watkins, Andrew Stone and Sean Stone; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Saturday at 10 a.m. at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas with Randy Scott officiating. Burial was in Duty Cemetery.

Kennie Joe Terry

Kennie Joe Terry, 71, of Dacula, Ga., died Sept. 17, 2015, in Gainsville, Ga.

Born Dec. 25, 1943, in Lawrence County, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was the owner of a successful construction business in High Point, N.C. He was a member of the Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Terry; a son, Kevin Terry; his parents, Kenneth and Virginia Whaley Terry; and a sister, Shirley Rice.

Survivors include a son, Sean Terry and wife Dana, Dacula, Ga.; and two grandchildren, P.J. Terry and Rory Terry.

A private memorial will be held at a later date at Lawrence Memorial Park. House-Gregg Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Rhonda Sue Trigg

Rhonda Sue Trigg, 56, of Trumann, died Sept. 19, 2015, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, following a long illness.

Born Jan. 20, 1959, in Walnut Ridge, she was a former factory worker and was a member of Oak Hill General Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brandy Trigg; her father, Andy Hon; and her grandparents, Henry and Margie Lakey, and Moses and Hattie Hon.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth Alan Trigg; a son, Clint Trigg and wife Jacqueline, Houston; three daughters, Shannon Fausz and husband Chris, Batesville, Kim Frazier and husband Scott, Houston, and Brittney Stacks, Harrisburg; her mother and stepfather, Arlene and Richard Lawson, Walnut Ridge; three sisters, Shalene Baker and Carrie Gutshall, both of Walnut Ridge, and Teresa Bennett, Hoxie; a brother, Brian Hon, Walnut Ridge, and four grandchildren.

Funeral is Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home with Bros. Craig Lee and Marion Stringer officiating. Burial will be in Old Military Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Hon, Chuck Gutshall, Steve Cravens, Jay Smith, Chris Fausz and Anson Orrick.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until time of the service.

Norma Yvonne Watson

Norma Yvonne Watson, 78, of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 20, 2015, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born Aug. 14, 1937, at Gum Stump, she was the daughter of Weldon and Linnie Williams Brown. She was a homemaker and a caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer B. Watson; a son, Michael Watson; and her stepfather, Ira Phillips.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Lin Dawson, Siloam Springs; a brother, Dennis Brown, Lowell; three stepbrothers, Jerry Phillips and Morris Phillips, both of Walnut Ridge, and Buddy Phillips, Cedar Lake, Ind.; four grandchildren, Melissa Dooley, Crystal Bend, Autumn Kyle and Whitney Watson; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside service is today at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

No visitation is planned.

Memorials may be made to The Children's Shelter in Walnut Ridge.
