Danyail LaShae Dail became the bride of Brent Gregory Smith on Aug. 13.

The bride is the daughter of Amy Dail and Gary Bookout of Walnut Ridge and Robbie Dail of Portia.

The groom is the son of Pam and Greg Smith of Walnut Ridge.

Willene Childers

Willene Childers, 88, of Maumelle, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Aug. 18, 2015.

Born Oct. 23, 1926, she was the daughter of Oren and Velma Rush of Walnut Ridge. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge for 65 years. She graduated from WRHS and worked for the State of Arkansas at the Employment Security Division for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Delbert Jack Holt and John C. Childers.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Stuart, Maumelle; two granddaughters, Shelley Tuxhorn and Natalie Cole; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Friday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge with Bro. Jake Guenrich officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Tonya Smith Francis

Tonya Smith Francis, 53, of Maynard, died Aug. 19, 2015.

Born Dec. 13, 1961, in Genoa, Ill., she was a graduate of Genoa Kingston High School. She moved to Pocahontas in 1991 and was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Supply.

Survivors include her husband, Dearil Francis; three brothers, Jennings Smith and wife Donna, Cherry Valley, Ill., Paul Wayne Smith and wife Norma, Kingston, Ill., and Stan Smith, Sycamore, Ill.; and a sister, Paula Fisher, Ellicott, Md.

A celebration of her life was held Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Supply with Bill Settles officiating. Burial was in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas.

Rob Freeman

James Robert "Rob" Freeman, 53, of Fairfield Bay, formerly of Lawrence County, died Aug. 21, 2015, at UAMS from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident at Fairfield Bay.

Born Dec. 24, 1961, in Jonesboro, he was a finance manager for Ross Wynn Ford and was of the Church of Christ belief.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alpha Lawson Freeman.

Survivors include a son, Caleb Robert Freeman and wife Ceila, Broomfield, Colo.; a daughter, Heather Ryan Freeman, Las Vegas; a brother, Ron Freeman and wife Wilma, Jonesboro; four sisters, Reta Daugherty and husband Ike, and Lana Johnson and husband Randy, all of Jonesboro, Ranae Kitchens and husband Larry, Paragould, and Shelly Dent and husband Darren, Greenbrier; two grandchildren, Kyland Holcomb and Avery Freeman; and his fiancé, Linda McCorkle.

Burial will be private. Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro has charge of arrangements.

Angie Gyngard

Angie L. Gyngard, 82, of Edgington, Ill., died Aug. 16, 2015, at Heartland Health Care Center in Moline, Ill.

Born Jan. 16, 1933, in Lynn, she was the daughter of Willie and Opha Simmons Lynch. She worked as a laborer and assembler for Servus Rubber and later as a cook for Rockridge High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Gyngard, whom she married Jan. 3, 1948, in Lynn; a daughter, Kathy Morris; three sisters, Marie Morgan, Mabel Alls and Isophene Glenn; a grandson, Michael Kent; and a granddaughter, Angela Kent.

Survivors include two sisters, Shirley Matthews, Edgington, Ill., and Clara Wise, Virginia; and a brother, Virgil Lynch and wife Elaine, Imboden.

Graveside service was Friday at 10 a.m. at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, Ill. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory of Moline, Ill., had charge of arrangements.

Melba Louise Jones

Melba Louise Jones, 76, of Paragould, died Aug. 14, 2015, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

Born Aug. 17, 1938, in Hoxie, she was the daughter of Weldon and Frankie Willfond. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jones, in 2007.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Christian and Tammy Cox, both of Paragould; two sisters, Betty Stayton and Joyce Hutsell, both of Hoxie; a brother, Buck Willfond, Hoxie; two granddaughters, Crystal Tedder and Danielle Cox; and two great-granddaughters.

Earl Maxie Riggs

Earl Maxie Riggs, 85, of Walnut Ridge, died Aug. 21, 2015, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.

Born Aug. 25, 1929, in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of Ulysess Sanford and Alberta McAfee Riggs. He was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County and a carpenter. He was of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alene Willfond Riggs; a daughter, Phyllis Holsten; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Brown and husband Jurl, and Debra Cline; two sisters, Ruby Roach and Erma Lee High; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Monday at noon at House-Gregg Funeral Home with Mario Villarreal officiating. Burial was in Duty Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brandon Barnes, Gary Patton, Steven Holsten, Chris Holsten, Jordan Brown, Zack DePew and Mario Villarreal.

Mary Evelyn Turner

Mary Evelyn Turner, 78, of Black Rock, died Aug. 19, 2015, at her home.

Born Jan. 31, 1937, in Alicia, she was the daughter of William and Effie Luther Adams. She worked at Frolic Footwear and was of the Pentecostal belief.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Desandra Ann Waldrup; a grandson, Shane Nicholas; and a brother, Lovell Adams.

Survivors include three sons, Mitchell Nicholas and wife Patricia, Alicia, and Pete Nicholas and wife Mary and Terry Wright and wife Terri, all of Jonesboro; a sister, Lola Mae Manning, Pocahontas; 16 grandchildren, Allen, Billy, Lovell and Tiffany Nicholas, Stephanie Pool, Eric Flornash, Tamra Richey, Krystal Baringhaus, Matt and Stacy Earl, Amy Schmidt, C.J., Wes, Eric, Sara and Tara Lahman; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Friday at 2 p.m. at Strangers Home Cemetery with Bro. Blake Shaw officiating. Bryan Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Mitchell Nicholas, Pete Nicholas, Terry Wright, Billy Nicholas, Allen Nicholas, Lovell Nicholas, Aaron Richey, Eric Flornash and Abraham Macias.
