Ida Marie Boyce

Ida Marie Boyce, 93, of Walnut Ridge, died June 15, 2015, in Jonesboro.

Born Feb. 14, 1922, at Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Claude and Gertrude Kelley Norris. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Walnut Ridge. She served as Worthy Matron of the Rainbow Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William O. Boyce; four brothers, Lowe Norris, Vieron Norris, C.V. Norris Jr. and Jack Norris; and a sister, Myrtle Clark.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula Tribble and husband Kerry, Walnut Ridge; two grandsons, William Casey Tribble and Christopher Tribble; and a great-grandson.

Graveside service was Thursday, June 18, at Lawrence Memorial Park with pastor Jeanne Williams officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Casey Tribble, Christopher Tribble, Luther Tribble, Bill Tribble, Shelby Tribble, Boyce Vance Williams and Charlie Tribble.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Walnut Ridge or the Lawrence County Library.

Mary Ellen Hart

Mary Ellen Hart, 75, of Hoxie, died June 21, 2015, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 22, 1940, in Stonewall, she was a nurse's aid and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eula Roush Howe; five brothers, J.L., Dan, Joseph, Alphis and Gary Howe; and two sisters, Helen Williams and Martha LaRoe.

Survivors include her husband, Marion Gilbert Hart, whom she married Jan. 1, 1955; three daughters, Brenda Cochran, Kathy Holt and Sherry Hart, all of Hoxie; two sons, Dewayne Hart, Brownsville, Texas, and Ronnie Hart, Walnut Ridge; a brother, Alvin Howe, Paragould; a sister, Sharon Howard, Paragould; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral is Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bryan Funeral Home with Jonathan Cochran, Everett Hart and Rick Hart officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Holt, Ron Holt, Dewayne Hart, Jack Galbreath, Gale LaRoe, Bryan Butts, Jeffery Hart and Jonathan Cochran. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m.

Mary Louise House

Mary Louise House, 77, of Black Rock, died June 23, 2015, at her home, following a lengthy illness.

Born March 13, 1938, in Corning, she was the daughter of James Chester and Tressie May Barnett Bracken. She was a cashier most of her life, working at Latham's Grocery and a few gas stations in Black Rock.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah Williams, Luciel Bracken, Virginia Polk and Barbara Case; and four brothers, Chester, James, Isiak and Sidney Bracken.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Cloyce House, whom she married April 21, 1957; two sisters, Wanda Baldwin, Jonesboro, and Linda Dover, Olive Branch, Ill.; and a brother, Floyd Everett Bracken, Harrison.

Graveside service is Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock with Bro. Joe Loghery officiating. Bryan Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Earl Dean Raney

Earl Dean Raney, 64, of Hoxie, died June 22, 2015, in Walnut Ridge.

Born Feb. 16, 1951, in Walnut Ridge, he was a lifelong resident of Hoxie. He retired from the City of Hoxie after 37 years, and was of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eadison Raney.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Price Raney; two sons, Rodney Raney and Chris Raney; two daughters, Melinda Raney and Terri Liles; his mother, Ruby Bennett Powers; four sisters, Barbara Brown, Pearline Kisling (his twin), Shirley Lee and Patsy Finney; five grandchildren, Anthony, Levi, Zach, Morgan and Scott; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service is Thursday at 1 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery with Ed Baker officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Gary Hardin, David Hardin, Rick Hardin, Ricky Finney, Jerry Lee and Anthony Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Evans, Ronnie Evans, Larry Evans, Levi Raney, Eddie Price, David Tribble and Jason Ezell.

Visitation is Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeral home in Walnut Ridge.
