has split week

The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats dropped a 5-0 decision to the Tuckerman Lady Bulldogs in 2A-2 Conference softball action on March 11.

Maggie Jackson, Baylee Haskins, Baylee Burris and Brianna Nunley each had hits for Walnut Ridge. The loss left the Lady Bobcats at 0-1 in conference play and 1-1 overall.

Mammoth Spring

The Lady Bobcats opened the season by defeating Mammoth Spring 11-0 in five innings on March 3 at Black Rock.

Whitney Rider was 3-for-4 at the plate for Walnut Ridge, with a triple and had five RBIs. Jackson also went 3-for-4 and had a double and drove in four runs. Megan Jared went 2-for-3 and scored three runs.

Haskins pitched all five innings, allowing three hits and recording 11 strikeouts.
