Court remains divided on jail,
county to rejoin Intermodal

The Lawrence County Quorum Court meeting Monday night abruptly ended after arguments surrounding future planning for a new county jail caused hostility among the justices and jail committee members.

WR Airport Commission
to seek $400,000 grant

The Walnut Ridge Airport Commission voted to apply for a second Arkansas Department of Aeronautics grant at its Monday meeting. Chair Don Cavenaugh said the revenue the airport will receive from retaining its military fuel contract allows them to be able to afford a $400,000 grant in addition to the $200,000 already approved.

Minturn City Hall upgrades

Charles Baldridge recently started his tenure as Minturn mayor and is looking to continue improvements being made to the city hall.
