Jasper James Jansen

Joe and Kelley Jansen of Little Rock have announced the birth of a son, born Nov. 24, 2014, at UAMS.

The baby weighed seven pounds, six ounces, and has been named Jasper James Jansen. He has three brothers, Jacob, 10, Alex, eight, and George, two.

Grandparents are Bill and Sally Buettner of North Little Rock and Jim and Sheila Jansen of Walnut Ridge.

Dexter Harrison Kauffman

Andrew and Tiffany Kauffman of Jonesboro have announced the birth of their first child, a son, born on Dec. 11, 2014, at St. Bernards Birthcare Center in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed eight pounds, nine ounces, and has been named Dexter Harrison Kauffman.

Grandparents are David Kauffman of Pine Bluff, Rosemary Freer of Nashville, Tenn., Carie Barker of Jonesboro and Rick Barker of Black Rock.

Great-grandparents are Mildred McDaniel of Jonesboro, Joann Barker of Imboden and Dale Barker of Black Rock.

Khloe Alexandria Lenderman

Shawn and Haley Lenderman of Jonesboro have announced the birth of a daughter, born on Dec. 8, 2014, at St. Bernards Birthcare Center in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed six pounds, nine ounces, and has been named Khloe Alexandria Lenderman. She has one sister, Adaleyah, two.

Grandparents are Crystal Brown of Jonesboro and Ronnie Brown and Mark and Shirley Lenderman, all of Paragould.

Great-grandparents are Dorothy Lenderman of Paragould, Gene and Betty Brown of Light and Thomas and Sharon Hodge of Walnut Ridge.

Willis James Ward

Amy Jo Ward of Warm Springs has announced the birth of a son, born on Dec. 4, 2014, at St. Bernards Birthcare Center in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed eight pounds, 10 ounces, and has been named Willis James Ward. He has one brother, Trey, six.

Grandparents are James and Diane Ward of Williford and Doug and Brenda Grissom of Warm Springs.

Great-grandparents are Lou Ward of Hoxie and Martha Elliott of Walnut Ridge.

June Marie Bonner

June Marie Bonner, 58, of Walnut Ridge, died Dec. 14, 2014.

Born Oct. 15, 1956, in Washington, Mo., she was an LPN2.

She was preceded in death by her father, Junior Meeker; and a sister, Barbara Bonner.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Bonner, whom she married Nov. 10, 1973; three sons, Gabriel Bonner and wife Aimee, Minturn, Michael Bonner, Warrenton, Mo., and Will Bonner and wife Dawn, Lost Creek, Mo.; a daughter, Crystal Bonner, Walnut Ridge; her mother, Alta Marie Meeker, Smithville; a brother, Denny Meeker, Smithville; three sisters, Mary Meeker and Jennifer Rancano, both of Smithville, and Becky Meeker, Hoxie; and 11 grandchildren, Olivia, Kendra, Beth, Amos, Josie, Solomon, Skylar, Leah, Zan, Lillian and Daven.

Funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home with Bros. Don Dingus and Christopher Pinkston officiating. Burial will be in Whittaker Cemetery.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

Donnie Cruse

Donnie R. Cruse, 61, of Russellville, formerly of Lynn, died Dec. 7, 2014, at his home.

Born Sept. 5, 1953, in Indianapolis, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estel and Tressie Birmingham Cruse; and a brother, Estel Wayne Cruse.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Gail Wilkes Cruse; two sons, Jeff Cruse and Danny Cruse; a daughter, Jennifer Carter; four brothers, Johnny Cruse, Rick Cruse, Tony Lawson and David Lawson; two sisters, Elva Holder of Saffell, and Judy McGee; 10 grandchildren, Cruse, Brandon, Abbie, Allison, Brittany, Kasandra, Kaylie, Jineen, Danny and Ling-Ling; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Broussard Funeral Home in Russellville. Military honors were provided by the Rogers-Rye V.F. W. Post 2283.

Jerry Wayne Morgan Sr.

Jerry Wayne Morgan Sr., 81, died Dec. 10, 2014, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

Born Jan. 25, 1933, in Lynn, he was the son of Theodore and Blanche Erwin Morgan, and was a lifelong resident of Lynn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had a MSE in education. He was a former president of the Lynn school board and a past member of the State Board of Education.

He was a former mayor of Lynn, an educator, banker and a dairy and row crop farmer. He was a member of the Lynn Church of Christ, where he served as an elder and treasurer.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Morgan; a sister, Rebecca Cooper; and a grandson, Jered Lee Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Morgan; five sons, Jerry Wayne Morgan and wife Cindy, Mart Lee Morgan, John Paul Morgan, Danny Allen Morgan and wife Tera, and Shawn Ellison Morgan, all of Lynn; a daughter, Pamela Ann Bangs and husband David, Searcy; a brother, Harold Morgan, Lynn; five sisters, Clara Lee Dennison and Mary Denison, both of Lynn, Joann Shelton and Linda Richey, both of Searcy, and Betty Mullen, Troy, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren, Lauren Geurin, Trevor Morgan, Jordon Graham, Kelsey Ingram, Anna Laura Bangs, Erin Weeks, Sloan Wallis, Ashton Geurin, Caitlin Davis, Adam Morgan, Brynna Morgan, Walker Morgan, Houston Morgan and Drew Morgan.

Funeral was Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lynn Church of Christ with son-in-law David Bangs officiating. Burial was in Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were sons, Jerry Wayne Morgan, Mart Lee Morgan, John Paul Morgan, Danny Allen Morgan and Shawn Ellison Morgan and son in-law, David Bangs. Honorary pallbearers were Adam Morgan, Trevor Morgan, Walker Morgan, Houston Morgan, Drew Morgan, Freddie Morgan, Brandon Harris, Jimmy Dean Penn and Charles Ellison.

Kenneth Wayne Richey

Kenneth Wayne Richey, 49, of Jonesboro, died Dec. 5, 2014, at his home.

Born Sept. 26, 1965, in Batesville, his parents are both former residents of Lawrence County. He was a graduate of Nettleton High School and attended the Art Institute in Houston. Before becoming disabled, he was a CNA at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Gail and Tom Cottingham, Jonesboro; his father, Jerry Richey, Bono; five brothers, Tony Weaver and wife Missy, Heath Richey and Shane Richey, all of Bono, and Darren Weaver and Jonathan Cottingham and wife Emily, all of Jonesboro; and a grandfather, Bud Glasco, Jonesboro.

Funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. at the Christian Valley Christian Church with pastor Mitch Ford officiating. Burial was in Godwin Cemetery at Saffell under the direction of Gregg Langford-Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Darren Weaver, Jonathan Cottingham, Tony Weaver, Jeff Taylor, Chris Coggins, Bobby Webb, Jay Powers and Tony Riley.

Billy Russell

Billy Allen Russell, 79, of Ward, died Dec. 13, 2014, at his home.

Born Jan. 16, 1935, at Eaton, he was the son of Jasper and Eva Russell. He was a member of the Cabot Church of Christ for over 42 years.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, J.D. Russell and Tom Ingram; and two sisters, Marie Baker and Sue Bollinger.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Russell; three sons, Stephen Russell and wife Tuesdi, Gravel Ridge, and James Russell and wife Barbara, and Mark Russell, all of Ward; a daughter, Deborah Wallace, Cabot; three brothers, Ray Russell and Jim Russell, both of Rockford, Ill., and Delon Russell, Davis Junction, Ill.; a sister, Marg Harkey, Long Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral is today at 10 a.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Austin Cemetery at Ward.

Memorials may be made to Friend's House at Cabot Church of Christ.

Mildred Geneva Whitley, 85, of Bono, sister of Glen Hayes of Swifton, died Dec. 8, 2014, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Burial was Thursday, Dec. 11, in Trinity Cemetery at Bono under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home.
