Mustangs end season
Hoxie quarterback Cole Sears accounted for seven touchdowns and over 400 yards of offense, but the Mustangs' football season came to an end in a 63-47 loss to the Booneville Bearcats in the quarterfinals of the 3A state playoffs Friday night at Booneville.

WBC Tournament underway
The 56th annual WBC Tournament began Saturday with six games at the Southerland-Mabee Center on the Williams Baptist College campus.
S-H defeats Midland
Sloan-Hendrix routed 2A-2 Conference foe Midland 76-41 in senior boys basketball on Nov. 25 at Imboden.
WR senior teams begin play
The Walnut Ridge senior boys basketball team opened the 2014-15 season with a 66-47 win over conference foe Salem on Nov. 25 at Sharum Gymnasium.
