CHORALE TO PRESENT SATURDAY ~ Glenda Blasini accompanies the Northeast Arkansas Chorale on piano during its practice Monday night. The annual concert, which will feature the Chorale joined by The Williams Singers, will be presented Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Manley Chapel on the campus of Williams Baptist College. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door. Dr. Bob Magee, professor of music and chair of the Department of Music at WBC, is this Chorale's conductor.

Lawrence County Steering
Committee awarded grant

The Lawrence County reNEW East Arkansas steering committee was awarded a Strategic Planning Community Engagement grant (SPCE) in the amount of $6,250 from East Arkansas Planning & Development District's reNEW East Arkansas Initiative to implement plans for beautification, downtown development and pass-through visitor strategies.

WR City Council will
reimburse employees

City employees who worked to assist Union Pacific Railroad employees in the aftermath of a train wreck near Hoxie on Aug. 17 will soon be reimbursed for their efforts.

Hoxie approves Christmas bonuses

The Hoxie City Council held a special meeting Nov. 26 to discuss Christmas bonuses.

Angels now available at courthouse

The Lawrence County Angel Tree, located in the lobby of the Lawrence County Courthouse, was decorated on Tuesday by second-graders from Walnut Ridge and Hoxie.
