Clinton attends rally in Hoxie

Former President Bill Clinton stole the show Monday night when he attended the Tri-County Democratic Dinner and Rally at the Hoxie Service Center. Clinton, along with Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe, joined a roster of state Democratic candidates who were present for the dinner.

Quorum Court to discuss
county jail, state prison

The Lawrence County Quorum Court meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. instead of its usual meeting time due to the Columbus Day holiday.

Harvest underway
in Lawrence County

As Lawrence County farmers work hard on harvesting crops, extension agent Herb Ginn released information about this year's growing season. Growers planted close to 200,000 acres of row crops in Lawrence County this year.

New industry planning
to locate in LawCo.

A new industry is set to come to Lawrence County after a contract with American Silica, Inc. was signed for a plant to be built north of Black Rock.
