Mustangs dominate
in win over Cave City

A dominating first half powered the Hoxie Mustangs to a 35-0 win over Cave City in senior high football action Friday night at Crider Field.

Hoxie's offense was led by the duo of Cole Sears and Gunner Cook. Sears again passed and ran for multiple scores, while Cook turned in his third 100-yard rushing effort of the season.

The Mustang defense also turned in a stellar performance, limiting the Cavemen to just 75 yards of total offense for the game.

Bobcats fall to Harrisburg

The Harrisburg Hornets scored 20 unanswered points to break a 14-14 deadlock and go on to defeat the Walnut Ridge Bobcats 34-20 in senior high football action Friday night at Harrisburg.

WR, Hoxie teams face off

Walnut Ridge and Hoxie squared off in 3A Northeast Conference volleyball action Thursday at Walnut Ridge's Sharum Gymnasium.

Lady Mustangs beat Piggott

Hoxie's senior and junior high volleyball teams defeated 3A Northeast Conference rival Piggott on Sept. 16.

WR earns three wins

Walnut Ridge defeated Ridgefield Christian in senior high volleyball action on Sept. 16 at Jonesboro. The Lady Bobcats won the match in three sets, 25-7, 25-9, 25-4.
