predictions in magazine

The 2014 edition of Hooten's Arkansas Football magazine is now available.

The magazine provides extensive coverage of high school football and features a coaches' poll for each high school conference.

In Class 3A, the Hoxie Mustangs are predicted to finish second in the 3-3A, behind Rivercrest. Osceola, Melbourne, Corning, Piggott, Cedar Ridge and Manila round out the predicted standings.

Mustang quarterback Cole Sears, running back Gunner Cook and offensive lineman Aaron French were named to the Sonic Super Team for Class 3A. Receiver Hunter Wilson, defensive lineman Stephen Arnold and linebacker Austin Williams were mentioned in the Unheralded Stars section.

The magazine also named the Mustangs' special teams as the best in the state in 3A.

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats are picked to finish third in the 3-2A conference.

The conference standings are predicted to be Earle, East Poinsett County, Walnut Ridge, Cross County, Marked Tree, Salem, Midland and Rector.

Tyler Binkley was mentioned as an Unheralded Stars among defensive linemen for Class 2A.

The publication also offers an in-depth preview of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Southeastern Conference. Arkansas State and every college team in the state are also previewed.

Hooten's Arkansas Football retails for $16.99 and is available at most locations where magazines are sold. It can also be ordered online at www.hootens.com.
