Rutledge wins nomination,
doesn't carry Lawrence Co.

Leslie Rutledge won the Republican nomination for Arkansas attorney general in a runoff election on Tuesday.

Though Rutledge received more votes statewide, David Sterling actually carried Lawrence County.

Sterling received 55 votes (65 percent) in the county, compared to Rutledge's 30 votes (35 percent).

Rutledge will face Democratic nominee State Rep. Nate Steel and Libertarian nominee Aaron Cash in the November election.
