Runoff for AG set for Tuesday
Tuesday is an election day in Lawrence County as voters will go to the polls to decide the Republican nomination for attorney general.
The ballot will include David Sterling, who received the most votes in Lawrence County in the primary, and Leslie Rutledge, who garnered 47 percent of the vote statewide.
Those who voted in the Republican primary or registered voters who did not cast ballots in the primary can vote in the runoff. Those who voted Democratic in the primary are not eligible to vote in the Republican runoff.
Early voting is underway and will continue through Monday at the office of Lawrence County Clerk Tina Stowers. Polls will be open on Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The polling site for those voting in Campbell 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as Cache and Richwoods, has changed starting with this election.
Voters in those districts will now cast their ballots at the Lawrence County Meeting Room, located next to the Lawrence County Library on West Walnut Street.
