Several traveled in from out of state to attend the 16th annual Airfield Reunion at the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport over the weekend. In addition to exploring the airport and Wings of Honor Museum, they also took in a tour of the surrounding area, including Williams Baptist College and Beatles Park.

Concerns regarding recent water bills were addressed at the Hoxie City Council meeting on April 8.
Memorial effort took years
Walnut Ridge firefighters played an integral role in helping to establish the Arkansas Fallen Firefighters Memorial that was dedicated March 22 on the state Capitol grounds in Little Rock. The project was special to many other residents from Lawrence County as well.
Lawco. personnel policy ready for review
Justice Junior Briner announced that review of the county's personnel policy has been completed at the Lawrence County Quorum Court meeting Monday night.
Council closes streets
For safety reasons, the Walnut Ridge City Council voted to close one street and a portion of another at Stewart Park at their regular meeting on April 8. The safety of children and those attending ball games at Stewart Park has long been a concern for present and past Walnut Ridge City Councils.
