Walnut Ridge, Hoxie get new welcome signs

The final touches on the first of four new welcome signs for Walnut Ridge and Hoxie were completed on Monday. The newly erected sign can be seen on Highway 67 North coming into Walnut Ridge.

Accident claims life of Walnut Ridge woman

A two-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon at 2:26 claimed the life of a Walnut Ridge woman, according to WRPD Chief Richy Thatcher.

Mayor House will not seek re-election

Walnut Ridge Mayor Don R. House has announced that he will not seek a second term as mayor.
