Judge Freeman seeks third term

Lawrence County Judge Dale Freeman has announced he will seek election for a third term with the following statement:

"I have enjoyed serving Lawrence County as your county judge and am asking for your support for another two-year term. I have been conservative with your money and have managed to stay within my budget.

"The road department maintains 1,492 miles of county roads. I have leased three new trucks for the road department. One of my promises was to buy gravel in Lawrence County, if possible. By buying gravel locally and having better equipment, we are able to maintain the roads more efficiently.

"I have an excellent working relationship with elected officials in Little Rock and Washington. I presently serve on the Landfill Commission and the East Arkansas Planning Commission. We were successful in acquiring Birdsong Peanuts Buying Point in Portia. We have other industries that have shown interest in coming to Lawrence County.

"The betterment of Lawrence County will continue to be my first priority. I hope to see as many citizens of Lawrence County as possible in the next few months. In case I miss you, I would appreciate your vote. Together we can make a better Lawrence County."
