The new restaurant features a double drive thru, an automated drink dispenser and more cooking appliances to speed up service. The new building is the largest one McDonald's Corporation builds and has a seating capacity of 126, nearly triple the amount of the previous location.

The Lawrence County School Board voted at its meeting Tuesday evening to consolidate the Black Rock and Walnut Ridge campuses at the end of the school year.

Homicide charges filed after accident

Cave City resident Daniel Walling, 31, is facing negligent homicide charges in Lawrence County after a one-vehicle accident on Oct. 16, which resulted in the death of 32-year-old Tiffany R. Henry of Cave City.

Body found belongs to
missing Trumann man

Lawrence County officials have recovered the body of missing Trumann man, Steven Leon Hooks, 51, formerly of Jonesboro.

Mass flu clinic set in WR

The Arkansas Department of Health is providing flu vaccine for mass flu clinics throughout the state, including Lawrence County. The local clinic will be held on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Lawrence County Health Unit, located at 1050 West Free Street in Walnut Ridge.
