Taylor's Harvest Fest begins fourth season

Tourism group visits Walnut Ridge

Jennifer Neubauer of Little Rock led a group of 18 Parks and Tourism employees who work at Welcome Centers all over Arkansas. The group toured Walnut Ridge Thursday night and Friday to become familiar with local tourist attractions.

WR Council to purchase
cars for police department

At a special meeting held on Monday afternoon, the Walnut Ridge City Council agreed to purchase three cars for the police department. The three cars they will be replacing will be offered for bids.

proclaimed 4-H week

Judge Dale Freeman signed a proclamation Tuesday naming Oct. 6-12 as 4-H Week in Lawrence County

Officials respond to drowning

On Friday, Lawrence County officials responded to the Spring River Access Point in Imboden, where a fishing excursion ended in one fatality.
