Cara Elizabeth Chadwick

Chad and Cindy Chadwick of Jonesboro have announced the birth of a daughter, born Sept. 2, 2013, at St. Bernards Birthcare Center in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed seven pounds, 12 ounces, and has been named Cara Elizabeth Chadwick. She has one brother, Cole, five.

Grandparents are Eddie and Peggy Chadwick of Black Rock and Marie Ralston of Jonesboro and the late Steve Ralston.

Great-grandparents are Bill and Laverne Gaines of Portia and Joyce Booth of Paragould.

Miller Dewayne Cline

Randy and Pamela Cline of Walnut Ridge have announced the birth of a son, born Sept. 13, 2013, at Harris Hospital in Newport.

The baby weighed five pounds, 14 ounces, and has been named Miller Dewayne Cline. He has two siblings, Tyra, 12, and Kolten, six.

Grandparents are Bobby and Juanita Jackson and David and Pasha Wilburn, all of Walnut Ridge.

Great grandparents are Onia Wilburn and Betty Jackson, both of Hoxie.

Weddings/Engagements

Davis - Hancock

The Rumblin' Around the Ridge clubhouse in Hoxie was the setting Sept. 14, 2013, for the biker-style ceremony uniting Donald Hancock Jr. and Angie Davis in marriage.

Rumblin' Around the Ridge President Jeremy McLaughlin performed the ceremony.

Jennifer Warren of Hoxie served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Margaret Piatz of Walnut Ridge, Lisa Hayes of Powhatan and Nicole McLaughlin of Hoxie.

Wes Davis of Powhatan served as best man. Groomsmen were Vince Piatz and Will Mansfield, both of Walnut Ridge, and Larry Blevins of Pocahontas.

Ringbearer was Gage McLaughlin of Hoxie.

A reception was held for the couple following the wedding. At the reception the couple cut their cake, which was decorated in club colors of black and silver and featured a motorcycle as a cake topper.

Hudspeth - Ryan

Terry and Kelly Hudspeth of Paducah, Ky., have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Claren Hudspeth, to Jake Ryan, son of Mark and Jane Ryan of Rogers.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter Morris and Joann Bradley of Malden, Mo., and Gary and Gail Hudspeth of West Memphis.

She is a 2009 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and a 2013 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in economics.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Joe and Betty Richardson of Hoxie and the late Andy and Mercedes Ryan.

He is a 2009 graduate of Shiloh Christian School in Springdale and a 2013 graduate of Union University in Jackson, Tenn., with a degree in business administration in international business.

The couple are employed by the North American Mission Board as campus minister interns on the campus of Montana Tech in Butte, Mont.

The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 4, 2013, at the Purple Toad Winery in Paducah, Ky.

Mize - Rainwater

Kathy Mize became the bride of Gary Rainwater on July 25, 2013, in a private ceremony performed by Russell Barber.

The bride is the daughter of Barbara Mize and the late Calvin Mize. She is the mother of Melissa Durham of Strawberry and Michelle Evans of Lynn.

The groom is the son of the late Gary "Duck" and Thelma Rainwater.

The couple was honored with a small, surprise reception on Sept. 15, at the home of the bride's mother. The bride's children hosted the reception.

Following the wedding the couple reside in Smithville.

Mosley ~ Nunally

Michael and Teresa Mosley of Bono have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Lynn Mosley, to Whitney Lavelle Nunally, son of Mitchell and Robin Nunally of Black Rock.

The couple will exchange vows in a private ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 19. A wedding reception will be held for the couple at the Walnut Ridge County Club beginning at 7 p.m.

All family and friends are invited to the reception.

Obituaries

Thelma Irene Beeler

Thelma Irene Beeler left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at the age of 89.

Thelma was born in Booneville, Miss., to Bradford Owens and Cora Yarbor Owens.

Thelma leaves behind quite a legacy of love and strength; she is survived by her children: Robert and Ann Bolt of Auburn, Ind., Wayne and SueJane Bolt of Jonesboro, Bobbie Gathright of Monette, Carolyn Cook of Strawberry, and (T.H.) Glenda Bolt of Manila. Thelma also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren, of whom she was very proud of and loved dearly.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, a sister, two sons, a grandson, a granddaughter and a great-great-grandson.

Funeral is today at 10 a.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home with Don House officiating. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery at Lynn.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Fowler, Donnie Fowler, Zachary Penn, Nick Ormsby, Chad Brewer and Eric Stech.

John DeWayne Bradley

John DeWayne Bradley, 65, of Walnut Ridge, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born Feb. 15, 1948, in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of James (Jim) Floyd and Ida Ross Bradley. He was a Vietnam veteran, a plant manager for a clothing company, worked at Employment Security and owned and operated an antique store named the Whistle Stop. He was of the Baptist belief and loved gardening and antiquing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Nellie Hendon, Ruby Staton, Mary Jo Bradley, Virginia Michael and a twin sister, Judy Linebaugh; and one brother, J.F. Bradley.

He was united in marriage to Joan Lamb Sept. 9, 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Bradley, of the home; one sister, Barbara Hackworth of Hoxie; one brother, Larry Bradley of Jonesboro; special grandchildren, Hannah and Shayla Coats of Hoxie; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Marion Stringer and Bro. Randall Hackworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick. Military honors will be accorded at graveside.

Pallbearers will be Sam Lamb, Greg Coats, Sammy Burns, Bobby Carroll Lamb, Brad Hendon and Matt Nicholas.

Memorials may be made to the Old Military Cemetery, c/o Joan Bradley 405 Highland Dr. Walnut Ridge, AR 72476.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of the service.

Estel Roy Burrow

Estel Roy Burrow, 81, of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 9, 2013, at his home.

Born July 7, 1932, in Walnut Ridge, he was of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Burrow, his mother, Emma May Greer Harbison; a daughter, Mary Katherine Snider; two half-brothers, Cecil Burrow and Billy Burrow; and two half-sisters, Bessie Manning and Wanda Stewart.

Survivors include two daughters, Doylene Hall and husband Archie, Sedgwick, and Teresa Necaise and husband Neal, Walnut Ridge; three sons, Estel Ray Burrow and Marion Eugene Burrow, both of Manila, and James Arthur Burrow, New Orleans; a half-sister, Sandra Green, Walnut Ridge; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Graveside service was Friday at 10 a.m. at Unity Cemetery with Don Vuncannon officiating. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Buddy Burrow, Chris Burrow, Lesley Williams, Brian Zelt, Kyle Necaise and Josh Burrow. Great-grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.

Rosalie A. Greenwood

Rosalie A. Greenwood, 75, of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 17, 2013, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 5, 1938, in Rockford, Ill., she was the daughter of Roy and Helen Dunaway. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Greenwood; a granddaughter, Erika Greenwood; and a great-grandson, Michael Anderson.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Greenwood, Clover Bend, and Mark Greenwood, Ravenden Springs; a daughter, Lorena Hatfield, Hoxie; a sister, Kathy Lapier, Florida; two grandchildren, Steven and Scott; and a great-grandchild.

Graveside service is Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be at graveside.

Jeanette Gregory

Jeanette Gregory, 88, of Bryant, died Sept. 10, 2013, in Little Rock.

Born May 8, 1925, in Columbia, S.C., she had lived in O'Kean before moving to Bryant 19 years ago. She was retired from Cinch in Pocahontas was of the Baptist belief. She attended First Free Will Baptist Church in O'Kean.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Gardner; and two sisters, Geneva Anderson and Billie Sims.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Weaver and husband John, Tifton, Ga.; a son, Donald "Butch" Gregory and wife Brenda, Bryant; a stepdaughter, Diane Parkinson, Paragould; five grandchildren, Tina Coppola, Nancy Whitehead, Donna Denton, Justin Gregory and Hunter Gregory; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Friday at 11 a.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home with Jerald Dean officiating. Burial was in Sharum Cemetery in Randolph County.

Reagan Lucille Hall and Riley Lynn Hall, twin sisters, died Sept. 11, 2013, at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Survivors include their parents, Rodney and Brittni Hall, Fort Riley, Kan.; grandparents, Bo Lacaze, North Dakota, Teressa Lacaze, Rector, Daniel and Debbie Hall, Florida, and Danetta and Bobby Witcher, Rector; great-grandparents, Linda and Charles Barton, Louisiana, Carol and James Phillips, Texas, Roy and Margaret Hall, Walnut Ridge, Carol and Sherman Blanton, Jonesboro, Nelly Hyde, Rector; and aunts and uncles, Breana and Logan Lacaze, Rector, and Rachel Hall, Briana Hall and Marcus Hall, all of Florida.

Funeral was Sunday at 2 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Cochran officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Paul Johnson

Paul M. Johnson, 71, of Swifton, died Sept. 14, 2013, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab.

Born March 3, 1942, in San Francisco, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and an automotive technician.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel Johnson; his parents, Reynold and Doris Fish Johnson; and a granddaughter, Anna Grylls.

Survivors include his wife, Suzannah Johnson; three sons, Reuben Johnson and Joshua Johnson, both of Arizona, and Nehemiah Johnson, Ohio; four daughters, Rachel Azoulay, Israel, Lael Grylls, Ohio, Jochebed Cavanaugh and Ajalona Ellinger, both of Arizona; two brothers, Lyle Johnson, Arizona, and Noel Johnson, North Carolina; and 25 grandchildren.

Graveside service was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lorado Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Larry Wayne Mills

Larry Wayne Mills, 32, of Hoxie, died Sept. 13, 2013, at his home.

Born June 2, 1981, in Barboursville, Ky., he had lived in Arizona and Kentucky before moving to Lawrence County 11 years ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Sabrina Marie Mills; two sons, Brennon Mills and Jaden Mills; a son on the way, Larry Wayne Mills Jr.; his mother, Tina Simpson, Ravenden; a brother, Bradley Simpson, Ravenden; his grandmother, Karen Mills, Arizona; and his fiancˇe, Amanda Johnson, Hoxie.

A memorial visitation was held Monday at House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Floyd Phillips

Floyd Phillips, 103, of Tucson, Ariz., died Sept. 8, 2013.

Born Jan. 21, 1910, in Grubbs, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Phillips; a son, Robert W. Phillips; and his identical twin brother, Loyd Phillips.

Survivors include a niece, Audrey Thomas and husband Tex, Tucson; and several grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Graveside service was Tuesday at noon at Fairview Cemetery in Cave City under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
