Election to decide races for Hoxie, Sloan-Hendrix

Tuesday's annual School Election will determine the outcome of school board races for two school districts in Lawrence County. The Hoxie and Sloan-Hendrix school districts both have a race.

Candidates in the race for a position on the Hoxie School Board are Felipe Baiza and Nathan Romine.

For Sloan-Hendrix, the school board candidates are Robert Stallings - incumbent, and Donna L. Bartlett.

A list of polling places for these two school districts can be found on page 3B.

Districts with no races are conducting their elections solely through early and absentee voting.

Unopposed for positions on the Hillcrest School Board are Larry Brent Glenn, incumbent, Zone 2; and Roger Randolph, Zone 3.

For the Lawrence County School District, unopposed candidates are Keith Brand, Walnut Ridge position, and Joe Penn, Black Rock position.

No school districts are seeking a millage increase in this election.

Early voting is also underway during regular business hours through Monday at the County Clerk's office.
