The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce has launched a new approach to funding economic development. The Lawrence County 100 calls upon supporters to take a special role in building the local economy.

to regulate animal businesses

If an animal hospital, veterinary clinic, professional kennel or any other animal-related business wants to open a business in Walnut Ridge, or if an existing business wants to move to a new location within city limits, the city now has an updated ordinance that sets up guidelines for them.

The Walnut Ridge Airport Commission held a special meeting on Monday to hear from representatives of a local aviation business looking to expand.

NEARIFA hopeful for future success

Members of the Northeast Arkansas Intermodal Facilities Authority discussed membership dues for next year and affirmed their commitment to bringing jobs to Northeast Arkansas at their meeting on August 29.
