Karen Patterson and Dave Fowler of Walnut Ridge announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kerri Suzanne Patterson, to Houston Blake Hart, son of Blake and Debi Hart of Walnut Ridge.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Chester and Liberty Pulliam, who lived in Walnut Ridge. She is a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and has a bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She is a mammography technologist at St. Bernards Imaging Center in Jonesboro.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Benson Hart of Walnut Ridge and the late Mary "Pate" Hart and Mary Boozer of Walnut Ridge and the late James Boozer. He is a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and has a bachelor's degree in business management from ASU. He is a certified flight instructor and is employed with Viking Aviation in Jonesboro.
The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 5, 2013, at 6 p.m. in Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs.
Eva Christine Rush Billingsley, 95, of Walnut Ridge, died Aug. 17, 2013.
Born March 7, 1918, at Grubbs, she was the daughter of Dan and Florance Rush. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reldon Hershel Billingsley; a brother, Carl Rush; and three sisters, Anna Faye Byrd, Elenora Wakefield and Francis Fivecoat.
Survivors include a sister, Nadine Billingsley, Hobart, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Clara Midgett, Walnut Ridge; and a brother-in-law, Earl Billingsley, Mammoth Spring.
Funeral was Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home. Burial was in Sandhill Cemetery.

David Anthony Brown, 63, of Ravenden, died Aug. 11, 2013, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born Dec. 16, 1949, in Walnut Ridge, he worked at Castino Industries in Walnut Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil A. and Mary Ellen "Jane" Hibbard Brown; and two brothers, Jerry Brown and Allen Dale Brown.
Survivors include a son, David Brown and wife Paula, Rockford, Ill.; two brothers, Ancil Brown and wife Sybil, Ravenden, and Michael Brown and wife Pauletta, Paragould; a sister, Sharon Timperley and husband Clayton, Fontanelle, Neb.; a sister-in-law, Anita Brice, Jonesboro; and a grandson, Damon Anthony Brown.
A celebration of his life was held Saturday at 10 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Children's Homes of Paragould or the charity of the donor's choice.
Ronald C. Burrow, 74, of Little Rock, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013.
Ron was born April 14, 1939, in Walnut Ridge and attended Ouachita Baptist University and Williams Baptist College. Ron retired from the National Guard after 24 years at the rank of Staff Sergeant/E3, and had spent over 30 years as a Little Rock realtor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Mae (Sanders) and Claybern Burrow; and his sister, Beverly Jo Burrow.
Ron is survived by his life partner, Laura Martha Wehner; his sister, Patsy Bray (Paul); and his babies, Coco, Jesse and Belle.
A celebration of Ron's life was held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 5700 Cantrell Road.

Sharon Louise Jones, 64, of Walnut Ridge, died Aug. 13, 2013, at her home following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 9, 1949, in Walnut Ridge, she was a master gardener at Taylor's Greenhouse and a homemaker. She was of the Church of Christ belief.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Joseph Ragsdell; and two brothers, Jimmy Ragsdell and Tommy Ragsdell.
Survivors include her husband, Harry B. Jones Sr.; two daughters, Stephanie Denton and husband Weldon, Walnut Ridge, and Celea Jones, of the home; two sons, Harry B. "Jay" Jones Jr. and wife Jennifer, Quitman, and Colby "Cheyenne" Jones and his fiancˇe, Bethany Erwin, both of Black Rock; her mother, Edith Ragsdell, O'Kean; three sisters, Freda Dean, O'Kean, Donna Eubanks, Delaplaine, and Virricka Wilson, Hoxie; and three grandchildren, Carrie Denton, Avery Jones and Wade Jones.
Graveside service was Friday at 2 p.m. at Whittaker Cemetery with Billy Mack Jones officiating. Bryan Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Danny Gifford, Joey Gentry, Bruce Carter, William Sisco, Keith Binkley and Robert Pratt. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Rothe, Jerry Rothe, Jeremy Rothe, Justin Anglin and all nephews.

Nadine Whitlow Stewart-Pierce, 75, of Littlefield, Texas, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Aug. 16, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Born Sept. 8, 1937, in Strawberry, she was the daughter of Garland and Bertha Dunlap Whitlow. She was a former manager of the Dairy Queen and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. After moving to Texas, she transferred her membership to Sunset Avenue Baptist Church in Littlefield.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Stewart, whom she married Oct. 3, 1955, in Hernando, Miss.; a brother, Earl Whitlow; three sisters, Louise Fears, Mozelle Dulaney and Aleta Wade; a stepdaughter, Liz Polk; and a daughter-in-law, Telisa Stewart.
Survivors include her husband, Burton Pierce, whom she married April 8, 1998, in Walnut Ridge; two sons, Scott Stewart and wife Sherrie, Jonesboro, and Terry Stewart, Burgin, Ky.; two stepsons, Junior Pierce, Gladewater, Texas, and Garland Pierce, Jacksonville, Texas; a stepdaughter, Billie Green, Levelland, Texas; two brothers, Billy Whitlow and Gene Whitlow, both of Black Rock; 18 grandchildren, Braden Stewart, Peyton Stewart, Mylee Stewart, Jennifer Harris, Lisa Brown, Michael Stewart, Rebecca East, Karen Stewart, Krissy Eggleston, Renee Sims, Jamie Polk, Joey Polk, Allen Polk, Sam Polk; Ashley Vurgio, Amy Green, Shane Pierce, Curt Pierce, Crystal Pierce and Matthew Pierce; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside service is today at 11 a.m. at Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock with Shawn Brandon officiating. Cox-Fears Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
