CITY POOL OPEN -The Walnut Ridge City Pool opened one day late on Sunday due to bad weather on Saturday. Over 60 people visited the pool opening day. Lane McCostlin (left) and Hayden Riggs were among well over 100 in attendance Monday. The pool is open 1-5 p.m. everyday this summer, and is located on Northeast Second Strret at Stewart Park.

Rains prolong planting season

Once again, rain has forced farmers to prolong the planting season in Lawrence County.

Storm hits Ravenden

A strong storm system clipped Lawrence County Thursday afternoon, causing damage in the Ravenden area.
