Poole signs to play
WBC Eagles baseball
Friday, May 24, held two momentous events for Payton Poole. On that morning he signed a scholarship commitment to play baseball for the Williams Baptist College Eagles of Walnut Ridge, and that evening, he graduated from Walnut Ridge High School.
Poole is one of several standout athletes in his graduating class who excelled, not only in baseball, but in football and basketball as well. He is the third athlete in his class who has signed to play college baseball.
Lady Eagles still alive in bid for title
The sixth-ranked Lady Eagles softball squad lost to Spring Hill College by the score of 7-1 on Monday evening in the semifinals of the winner's bracket at the 2013 NAIA National Championship in Columbus, Ga.
WBC softball team defeats Reinhardt
Columbus, Ga. - There are four teams remaining in the 2013 NAIA National Softball Championship, and one of them is Williams Baptist College. The sixth-ranked Lady Eagles stayed alive by beating Reinhardt University 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Williams is the first American Midwest Conference team to reach the last four since 1995.
