WR beats Cross County, Valley View;

The Walnut Ridge Bobcat baseball team played four games last week, earning two wins and dropping two.
The Gosnell Pirates scored four runs in the fifth inning to edge the Bobcats 5-4 on Friday at Stewart Park.
Walnut Ridge scored a run in the first inning and two in the third for a 3-0 lead. Gosnell got on the scoreboard with a run in the fourth and four in the fifth to take a 5-3 lead. The Bobcats cut the Pirates' lead to 5-4 with a run in the bottom of the fifth.
Walnut Ridge loaded the bases with no one out in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn't push the tying run across.
Rowdy Ditto batted 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored a run. Payton Poole went 2-for-2 and scored a run. Zach Crisler had a hit and an RBI. Cash Lee and Eric Wilcoxson each had a hit and scored a run. Hunter Flippo and Cole Hicks each had a hit.
Range Weeks pitched a five-inning no-hitter as Walnut Ridge hammered Cross County 14-0 on Thursday.
The Bobcats scored twice in the first inning, nine in the second and three in the third inning.
Poole had three hits, two RBIs and scored two runs. Lee, Wilcoxson and Hicks each had two hits, an RBI and scored two runs. Weeks had a hit and scored twice. Lane Kennedy had a hit and an RBI, and Ditto had an RBI and scored a run.
The Bobcats traveled to Paragould to face the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles.
Tech scored three runs in the first inning to take an early lead. Walnut Ridge scored a run in the top of the third, but Tech responded with two in the bottom of the inning. The Eagles added a run in the sixth inning to set the final score, 6-1.
Crisler had three hits and an RBI for Walnut Ridge. Wilcoxson had a hit and scored a run. Lee and Hicks each had one hit apiece.
Walnut Ridge scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to slip past Valley View 5-4 on March 4 at Stewart Park.
Valley View took the lead with single runs in the first, third and fifth innings, only to see the Bobcats tie the game with runs in the bottom of the innings.
The Blazers took a 4-3 lead with a run in the top of the seventh inning before Walnut Ridge pushed across a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning to take the win.
Crisler started on the mound for the Bobcats and allowed three runs on five hits in five innings of work. Baron Estes pitched the final two innings in relief to earn the win.
Offensively, Crisler had a hit and an RBI and scored two runs. Wilcoxson had a hit and scored a run. Hicks had an RBI and scored a run. Lee and Ditto each had a hit.
