Walnut Ridge's senior high boys and girls basketball seasons ended with first-round losses in the 2A North Regional Tournament last week at Imboden.
In the boys bracket, Marked Tree jumped to an early lead and never trailed on their way to a 63-51 win over the Bobcats.
The Indians scored the first 12 points of the game and led 14-2 at the end of the first quarter and 30-18 at halftime. Walnut Ridge was able to close to within 10 points, 48-38, by the end of the third period.
Zach Crisler led the Bobcats with 21 points. Spencer Wilson scored 12 points, and Matt Cox added 10.
The Lady Bobcats fell to Marmaduke 65-37 on Feb. 20.
Marmaduke led 24-5 after one period, 41-13 at halftime and 54-23 after three quarters.
