Museum seeks funds to expandThe Wings of Honor Museum is seeking funds to build a 20 by 80 foot addition on the north side of the building. The new area would hold a conference room, workroom and storage room. "The museum has received a bid of $34,000, which includes the cost of concrete and construction of the building," said Museum Director Harold Johnson. "However, if we can pay for it by February 15, the contractor will build it for $27,900 as a special favor to the museum. This would be a savings of $6,100." Currently the museum has a building fund containing $16,300. An additional $11,600 is needed to take advantage of the lower cost. Johnson said the museum is in urgent need of the addition to free up space for new displays and reduce clutter. Those who would like to make a contribution or help raise funds can call Johnson at 800-584-5575 or visit the museum located on 70 South Beacon Road in Walnut Ridge.
