HOXIE HOSTS TOURNEY - Sloan-Hendrix fans cheer for their Greyhounds during the Lawrence County Tournament, which was held in Hoxie School's new gymnasium. The tournament concluded with championship games on Friday and Saturday. Full coverage can be found in the C section of this week's edition.

District Court offers amnesty

The Lawrence County District Court has announced an amnesty period for individuals who had a warrant issued for failure to appear, violation of the hot check law or failure to pay prior to Jan. 1, 2012.

The Wings of Honor Museum is seeking funds to build a 20 by 80 foot addition on the north side of the building. The new area would hold a conference room, workroom and storage room.
