WR teams split with Pangburn

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats defeated Pangburn 66-25 in boys 2A-2 basketball action on Jan. 22 at Walnut Ridge.

The outcome was never in doubt, as the Bobcats jumped to a 21-7 lead in the first quarter, then stretched the margin to 37-9 at intermission.

Matt Cox recorded a double-double for Walnut Ridge, with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Range Weeks finished with 12 points.

The Walnut Ridge junior boys improved to 13-2 on the season with a 54-31 win over Pangburn.

Pangburn's Lady Tigers defeated Walnut Ridge 74-50.

Caroline Kelley led Walnut Ridge with 20 points. Anna Bland had 12 points, and Holly Looney added 10 points.
