WR falls to Cedar Ridge

Cedar Ridge improved to 11-0 in 2A-2 Conference play after escaping Sharum Gymnasium with a 57-53 victory on Friday night.
Walnut Ridge entered the fourth quarter trailing 46-35, but cut the deficit to two points in the final seconds. The Bobcats had a chance to take the lead, but a three-pointer was off the mark with nine seconds to play. A follow-up two-point attempt also missed. After a foul, the Timberwolves' Spencer Reaves knocked down two free-throws to secure the win.
Range Weeks scored 15 points to lead Walnut Ridge, while Zach Crisler added 12 points.
The loss left the Bobcats 7-3 in the conference and 10-5 overall.
Girls
The Cedar Ridge senior girls defeated Walnut Ridge 64-33. Anna Bland had eight points for the Lady Cats.
The Walnut Ridge junior girls defeated Cedar Ridge 46-16.
