S-H, BR split games

The Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds traveled to Black Rock to take on the Zebras in high school basketball action on Dec. 17.

Senior boys

Black Rock's defense held the Greyhounds to just two points in the opening quarter en route to 54-41 victory.

Caleb McKenzie led the Zebras with 14 points. Derrek Nunally scored 13 points, and Malachi Gott added 12 points.

Blake Bennett led Sloan-Hendrix with 14 points.

Senior girls

Sloan-Hendrix's Lady Greyhounds defeated the Lady Zebras 58-32 in senior girls action.

Demi Stephens scored 11 points, and Madicyn Huddleston added 10 for the Lady Greyhounds.

Rachael Weekley had 12 points to lead Black Rock.
