WR sweeps CotterWalnut Ridge took to the road to face the Cotter Warriors in 2A-2 basketball action on Thursday.
In the senior girls game, the Lady Bobcats had an easy time, downing the Lady Warriors 48-23. Audrey McElrath led Walnut Ridge with 10 points. The Lady Bobcats improved their record to 4-5 on the season.
The Walnut Ridge senior boys used a fast start to defeat Cotter 54-41.
Zach Crisler scored 14 points in the first quarter, as the Bobcats jumped to an early 18-6 lead. Cotter closed the gap to 24-20 at the end of the first half, but the Bobcats extended their advantage back to double-digits, 38-28, at the end of the third period.
Hillcrest earns win at HoxieColman Evans scored 29 first-half points to lead the Hillcrest Screamin' Eagles to a 91-75 victory over Hoxie Thursday night at Hoxie.continued...
